God’s message to us for 2021

Updated: Dec 1, 2021

As every New Year starts, we are in the habit of asking God what He wants us to work on in the year ahead, in which areas He wants us to grow and develop. We normally have a list of our own spiritual and personal goals as well.

As this New Year kicked off, we prayed and asked the Lord for a word, something form His heart. We asked Him to point us in the direction He wants us to go in 2021.

One of our main focus areas for 2020 was PRAYER. This year His message to us was clear….

Firstly, He wants us to crucify the flesh.

The flesh is the part of us that resists our transformation into the image of Christ and into the light of this world. THE SELF. It often shows up as “I want”, “I deserve”, “I am so offended”……me, me, me and I, I, I…

Our flesh can also manifest as the things that make us feel comfortable, safe, stable and grounded. It’s your comfort zone.

God has asked us to be more open to what He wants us to do this year.

Secondly, He said that we should LOVE His sheep!

This prompted us to take a closer look at the Fruits of the Holy Spirt in Galatians 5:22-23, which says, “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, self-control…”.

The Fruits of the Holy Spirit clearly starts with LOVE, and out of love grows all the other fruits - joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

As a tree is identified by its fruit, just so, people should be able to identify that we are filled with the Holy Spirit by the Fruits of the Holy Spirit that we bear and it all starts with the Fruit of LOVE ………..YIKES! I am sure all of us have at least one Fruit of the Spirit we can work on.

We challenge to you to print out or write down the Fruits of the Spirit and place it somewhere you can look at them every day. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you where you are lacking fruit.

William Worsworth Wrote this short poem:

“Your mind is a garden

Your thoughts are the seeds

The harvest can either be flowers

Or weeds”

May our thoughts lead to actions that speak of the Fruit of Holy Spirit. And may the promise in Isaiah 58:11 resonate over you and your loved ones in 2021:

“The LORD will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.”

What can you look forward to in the month of January?

We are very excited to host our very first Quantum Soul Zoom Q&A at the end of this month for all our Quantum Soul students. Date to be confirmed.

Many Blessings, Elzaan Da Camara & Monique Fourie
